Chocolate chip cookies

Hi guys! Are you looking for the tastiest chocolate chip cookies? Look no further, you found them! Scroll a bit down to find the perfect recipe. These are the ultimate American cookies!

For about 40 cookies:

  • 550 gr flour (4 1/2 cups)
  • 1 tsp of each salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract
  • 180 gr sugar (1 1/2 cups)
  • 180 gr brown sugar (1 1/2 cups)
  • 250 gr butter (1 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • +/- 300 gr chocolate chips (12 oz)
  • A bowl, baking paper, whisk, tablespoon, wooden spoon

Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together.

Melt the butter carefully in the microwave. Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.

Add the eggs one by one to the butter mixture, mix again after each egg.

Gradually add the flour mixture. The dough will become heavier and thicker, so when mixing, you may have to switch to a wooden spoon.

Finally, add the chocolate chips to the dough (to your own liking, keep a few on the side if necessary).

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking plate with the baking paper.

Scoop the dough with a tablespoon into (9) balls on the paper. Press the little balls down to a cookie.

Bake for 9-10 minutes. When they are ready, they feel a bit soft and limp. They harden as they cool down.

Enjoy the cookies! I hope you like them 🙂 I bake these a lot for my family and friends, so they have become a sort of signature dish. What’s yours?

Cheerio friends!
